Lynn Knight is re-elected as HANMI chair

Century Hotel GM Lynn Knight has been re-elected as chairwoman of the board of the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands, of which she is also its president.

The election was done during HANMI’s annual Christmas treat for the CNMI’s senior citizens yesterday at the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort and Spa.

Knight, who is also publisher of Saipan Tribune, will serve for another two-year term.

This would be her third term for the post and she has already served four years.

Aside from Knight, two other board members were elected to two-year terms: Hyatt Regency Saipan GM Nick Nishikawa and Fiesta Resort and Spa GM B.K. Park.

There are three other members of the board who still have a year left before their term ends. They are Saipan World Resort GM Hong Shul Shin, Aqua Resort Club GM Hiroki Sugie and Mike Johnson, Deloitte & Touche managing partner.

Knight said the board will meet soon to choose the officers for the other vacant positions—vice chairman, secretary and treasurer.
