Two Korean travel publications explore Saipan

Journalists from two popular Korean tourist publications arrived on Saipan yesterday and more will come in today to learn more about Saipan’s travel offerings and report back to their readers about the unique opportunities and natural beauty to be found here. Their trip will help promote to Korean tourists that, with two daily flights from Korea direct to Saipan, visiting the CNMI is very convenient.

A contingent from JoongAng Daily arrived early yesterday morning to enjoy a wide-ranging introduction to the islands’ tourist attractions. The publication is one of Korea’s top three nationwide newspapers. In addition, Joongang Daily will be covering the Second Annual Hell of the Marianas bike race today, which has attracted more than 100 registrants from Saipan, Guam, Korea, Japan, and Russia.

Journalists from Hana Traveler Magazine arrive today for three days. Included in their program is a day on Managaha Island for snorkeling, parasailing, and lunch. Also scheduled are a tour of Saipan’s historical and natural attractions, a bottom-fishing cruise, an off-road adventure, and a sunset dinner cruise.

The visiting journalists will be staying at Pacific Islands Club Saipan. These tours were arranged jointly by Hana Tour Service and Pacific Island Club.
