79 students take part in career exploration
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce hosted yesterday its 3rd Annual Student Career Exploration Day with 79 students and 43 Chamber member organizations participating in the whole-day event.
Students from different schools on Saipan explored careers with different companies from 8am to 5pm. This gave students an insight into career possibilities for the future. It gave them a quick view on what the “real world” would be like. Students worked alongside professionals, getting an opportunity to meet new people and play a role in a real business.
During lunch time, the students attended the Chamber’s General Membership Meeting held at the Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort. After lunch, they listened to a seminar about federalization by lawyers Bruce Mailman and Maya Kara. Students participated in the seminar by also asking questions of the speakers. After the seminar, they went back to their respective “workplaces” and continued working. Meeting professional workers gave students the confidence and the diligence in working throughout the day. This was an experience students will never forget and will look forward to.
