No Zone players turned the Capital Hill Ballfield into a batting practice facility hitting their targets easily and scoring one run after another en route to a 30-0 demolition of Hopwood in the Budweiser 2008 Inter-Government/Business Softball League Tuesday night.

Second baseman Jerry Auyu and first baseman Manny Sablan blasted two homers apiece, and the rest of No Zone’s players had a field day at-bat to record the most lopsided win so far this season.

Ayuyu went 4-for-4 at-bat and had eight RBIs. He scored three runs. Sablan was also perfect at the plate going 3-for-3, scoring two runs and posting four RBIs.

Centerfielder Kent Kalen went 4-for-4, third baseman Ned Norita and pitcher Carl Hocog were both 3-for-4, while shortstop Nick Deleon Guerrero hit 3-for-3.

No Zone had an impressive batting average of .764 going 29-for-38 at-bat.

No Zone started the game with a six-run top of the first and broke loose in the second and third making 13 and 12 runs, respectively. Ayuyu, Sablan and rightfielder Buddy Igitol homered in the second. Sablan and Ayuyu had a round-tripper each in the third.

Alex Sablan had the best chance to put Hopwood into the scoreboard when he reached third base at the bottom of the first. But with two outs, catcher Epi Cabrera stepped up to the plate and was beaten to first with Hocog picking up a grounder and throwing the ball to Sablan.

In the last two innings, no Hopwood runner past first base helping No Zone get its third win in five games. Hopwood remained winless after five matches.
