The Saipan Swim Club will be hosting the 2008 All Schools Swimming Championships at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool this Saturday.

The annual swim meet will feature students both from the public and public schools on Saipan.

Whispering Palms is this year’s defending champion in the elementary division, collecting 225 points from last season’s meet. Saipan Community School was second with 150 points, edging third placer Saipan International School by only a point.

The SIS Geckos dominated the junior and high school divisions, finishing ahead of Marianas High School, Ladera International School, Grace Christian Academy, and SCS.

SSC will conclude the 2008 season with the Annual Jingle Bell Run on Dec. 10. The race will start from Garapan Fishing Base to Susupe, near the former AJ’s Restaurant.
