Fil-Taga holds November Ace tourney today
The winner of the Fil-Taga Golfers Association November Ace of the Month Tournament will win $100, according to officer Nestor Siruelo.
Set today at the Marianas Golf and Country Club in Marpi, the tournament will also award a turkey each to second, third, and fourth-place winners. Siruelo added that a turkey will be given away to the nearest to the pin/hole in each par-3 hole.
Today’s tourney will have a showtime of 11am with tee-off time scheduled 30 minutes later at 11:30am.
Established in 1993, Fil-Taga’s tournaments operate under a computer-controlled handicap system that creates parity among players in the A and B Flights.
A Fil-Taga Ace of the Month champion is crowned monthly. Regular tournaments are scheduled once a month, normally every third Sunday. Green fees are in the $35 to $40 price range for most tournaments.
Its 2008-2009 set of officers are led by president Mike Cruz, vice president Jhun Calma, secretary Manny Po, treasurer Arnaldo Guban, and board of directors Fr.
