Stephens cards score to beat for December Ace

Dwain Stephens came away with the best score in the December qualifier of the Refaluwasch Golf Association held last Saturday in conjunction with the club’s Inaugural Memorial Classic.
Stephens shot a net 71, which was higher than John Rebuenog’s 64, July Ace Manny Mangarero’s 68, and Rey Tigilao and Bae Yong Man’s 69.
He, however, recorded the score to beat in Nov. 22’s December Ace because Mangarero (July) and Man (November) are previous winners and Rebuenog and Tigilao have not played the requisite number of rounds to advance to the Club Championship.
Ace of the Month winners need to play a minimum of four tournaments (including qualifiers) in order to qualify for the yearend RGA Club Championship set on Dec. 6 at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort.
The Club Championship assembles all 12 monthly champions, provided they qualify.
