Man charged for damaging store’s ice freezer

The Attorney General’s Office has charged a man who damaged the ice freezer at a store on Saipan.

Joseph Arriola Manibusan, 31, was charged with criminal mischief and two counts of disturbing the peace.

Manibusan was summoned to appear and answer the charges in the Superior Court on Dec. 1, 2008 at 9am.

Chief Prosecutor Kevin Lynch stated in the charging information that on April 9, 2008, the defendant damaged the ice freezer at 153 Market.

Lynch said that that on same day, the defendant disturbed the peace of Benjamin Bemen Higgins and Jaime Sanchez Taitingfong.

In other court news, the Superior Court has summoned a 27-year-old man to appear on Nov. 17 at 9am to answer the charges for assault and battery with sexual contact.

The charging information stated that on Oct. 3, 2008 Jesse Manuel Iguel Norita rubbed the victim’s groin area while she was sleeping.
