Terrorism with Obama
I do not share the euphoria and high expectations, as shown here and around the world, of the newly elected president of the United States, Barack Obama.
Why? The liberal-driven media machine—and the far left faction in the U.S. Congress who are in fact anti-America cannot convince me, otherwise, of his promise to disarm our nation and its defense spending “if I am elected…”
So that’s a problem?
Yes. It will directly impact the ongoing $16-billion military buildup on Guam, Tinian, Saipan, and the Mariana Islands. Even though he assured Guam Washington delegate Madeleine Bordallo to help the islands, cutting back on defense spending will not only impede our economic growth, but also to invite an attack. Let me explain.
Within years, we’ll see in excess of 40,000 more troops and their dependents at any one time traipsing throughout our islands. Just last week, we saw the first-ever nuclear carrier, the USS George Washington and part of its attack group, anchor in Guam with over 6,000 sailors on shore leave. And with the ongoing beheadings, bombings, and kidnappings a mere 1,500 west of us in the Philippines and Southeast Asia by the al-Qaeda inspired Abu Sayyaf and Jemmah Islamiyah and other Muslim extremist groups, this makes everyone living here a perfect target for severe terrorist attacks. In addition, a weakened military presence—if Obama gets his way—might also encourage the communist countries of Red China, North Korea, and Russia sitting miles away from us to test, if you will, in whatever manner or form or linkage with a terrorist cabal, that which might end up being another major conflict similar to what was called the Pacific War of 1941-1945.
I can’t be serious, you say?
Although what’s obviously information provided by conservative right-wingers and pro-McCainites, find below some interesting data suppressed by the left-leaning, pro-Obama media during the elections that we, living in the islands, were not made aware of:
– Obama has no record of protecting our country. And a bleak record of bills he never introduced by himself in the Illinois and the U.S. Senate;
– Obama has consistently voted against strengthening our military forces or its troops, thereby continually impeding their ability to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan;
– Obama wants to make nice with Iran’s Ahmedinejad, Chavez of Venezuela, the Hamas in Israel and other despots even though they are sworn to bring down America;
– Obama thinking has been shaped by sitting, listening and absorbing for 20 years the preaching of fire and brimstone against the U.S. by the reverend Wright;
– Obama has been supported by and has associated with that anti-America terrorist group of the 1960s called the Weatherman and its guru, William Ayers, as recently as 2003 in his run-up to the presidency;
– Obama, like that other democrat-president Carter three decades ago, will gut our military forces to leave us defenseless in face of the threat of terrorism—or the sword-rattling of those three communist countries in this Pacific-Asia region as already mentioned;
Am I being an alarmist? Absolutely, if the above has any basis in fact.
A President Obama, along with the left-leaning U.S. Congress now dominated by the democrat party, are capable of destroying defense spending when he takes office next year (anything Bush did they shall undo) and that means putting a halt to the $16 billion military buildup in the CNMI or at the very least, minimizing its original intent. All of us living here on Saipan, in the Marianas and especially in Guam, should be deeply concerned if our islands are rendered defenseless—if the newly elected president and the liberal congress get their way.
If anyone is interested, I have a 90-second YouTube video—before it was removed from the web by the far-left liberals—of Obama guaranteeing that he shall gut our military forces if elected.
Let’s hope this fear doesn’t happen. But if it does the real question is: for what? And for whom?
