Local toddler shines in national pageant
MariaIssabella Josephina Camacho participated in the Pretty Little Princess Pageant on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Marriott Quorum Hotel in Addison, Texas. Contestants range from the ages of 9 months to 10 years old. There were 185 contestants who participated.
The pageant itself was very rewarding. It gave the children the opportunity to go on stage and be themselves. Unlike other children’s pageants, there were no stress on the participants to go above and beyond to prove their skills and beauty. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for both the parent and child.
MariaIssabella, who will turn 2 on Sunday, immediately engaged the audience and the judges when she was introduced by the master of ceremony. Upon being called to the stage, she excitedly yelled “Hi,” smiling and waving to a crowd of about 250 attendees. Wearing a grass skirt to represent the Northern Mariana Islands for the Fun Wear Category, she was able to garner both the Best in FunWear and Best Personality Award.
MariaIssabella extends un dangkulo na si yu’us ma’ase to her family and friends both far and near who in one way or another gave her the support to participate in such wonderful event. (PR)
