KHS class teaches basic electronics
Students in Benjie Ladringan’s electronics class at Kagman High School are learning how to install cables and set up wireless Internet routers, so the students will have the knowledge to solve basic electrical problems in the future.
“Everybody owns an electronic device, like a cell phone or computer,” he said. “Learning basic electronics will help every student solve basic problems like cable connections. This will help parents’ and families, especially now that the economy is really slow.”
Ladringan also teaches the students how to protect their electronic devices if there is a power outage.
He said the class would prepare students to take engineering courses after high school.
There are currently 48 students in three classes enrolled in the course. Students from 9th to 12th grade are able to take the class. The majority of students are in 9th grade.
Last year when the program started there were 40 students.
Ladringan said he appreciates KHS principal Alfred Ada in allowing him the opportunity to teach the class.
“I do like to thank our Principal, Mr. Alfred Ada, for giveing this subject a chance to work,” he said.
