Shell Marianas Inc. has once again lowered its fuel prices, this time by 30 cents.

In a statement issued yesterday, Shell president Eloy Lizama said the reduction was possible because the market costs for the fuel products has continued to decline.

“Shell’s average market cost of…fuel products has continued to decline and Shell will pass these savings onto our customers,” he said.

The new prices, which cover Shell Unleaded, Shell V Power gasoline and Shell Diesel fuel, will be posted at Shell stations at midnight.

There was no immediate word if Mobil Oil Marianas will also lower its prices but the two companies have traditionally mirrored each other’s price movements. Mobil does not usually issue media statements about price adjustments.

Light sweet crude oil was trading for $64.35 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange yesterday.
