Ayeras, Agulto are ChaCha’s top teacher and teacher aide
ChaCha Oceanview Junior High School’s Teacher of the Year nominee is none other than Dominador Ayeras.
Ayeras received his higher education in the Philippines, where he graduated at Araullo University in 1981, majoring in Construction Building. He chose this major because there was a need for construction workers at the time.
Ayeras has been teaching for a total of 10 years. For the past four years he’s been at ChaCha Oceanview and spent six years teaching at Rota High. When asked why he thought he was chosen as teacher of the year, he said because of the hard work he’s rendered over a period of years. His late working hours and dedication to his job have finally paid off.
Ayeras enjoys what he does, knowing he’s helped mold many students in their academics necessary to lead them in their path toward a bright and more successful future.
When he went to Rota as an engineer, there was a need for teachers, and he felt he could help. Knowing he could help out a little community is what inspired him to become an educator.
The Teacher Aide of the Year nominee was awarded to Gerald Masga Agulto.
Agulto graduated from Marianas High school with the class of 1993. He has been under the Special Education Program for about eight years now. He said he was surprised when chosen as Teacher Aide of the Year, because he didn’t expect it.
Agulto enjoys helping kids with disabilities. He says it‘s very challenging, but having a son with a disability gives him more reason to help these kids. His inspiration to become an educator was his dad who used to be a teacher and a vice principal for over 30 years. Two of his siblings work in the field of education as well, and they, too, are his inspirations.
