DPS sets 4 checkpoints on Tinian

The Tinian Department of Public Safety said the Traffic Section will be conducting insurance, seatbelt, and sobriety checkpoints today and tomorrow.
The first insurance checkpoint will be held today, Nov. 7, 2008, along Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose Village. It will start at 8pm and will last about 75 minutes. It will end at 9:15pm.
The second insurance checkpoint will be conducted on the same day along Broadway Road by the Tinian Democrat Head Quarters. It will start at 10pm and will end at 11:15pm. Both checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain.
The Tinian DPS Traffic Section will also be conducting a DUI/sobriety checkpoint tomorrow, Nov. 8, 2008, along Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose Village. It will start at 6:30pm and last untilt 7:45pm.
Traffic officers will also be conducting the occupant protection/child restraint checkpoint on the same date, Nov. 8, 2008. This checkpoint will be held along Broadway Road near the Star Plaza. The checkpoint will begin at 11am and last until 12:15pm. Both checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain.
In addition to the checkpoints, officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions and laser activities. [B][I](DPS)[/I][/B]
