Man injured for jumping from vehicle, copper wire thieves strike anew
A man was injured after he jumped from a moving vehicle along Beach Road in Susupe Friday morning.
Department of Public Safety spokesperson Lei Ogumoro said the man was transported to the Commonwealth Health Center where he was treated for minor injuries.
Ogumoro said it was reported to DPS Friday at 9:29am that the victim jumped from a moving vehicle that was heading north.
Ogumoro said the incident happened in front of Winchell’s.
No arrest was made.
“I don’t have information as to his age or name or the vehicle,” she said.
In other police’s news, Ogumoro said that last Monday, Oct, 27, two copper wire theft incidents happened in Kagman and in As Perdido.
Ogumoro said unknown person or persons stole about 250 feet of secondary lines from two utility poles and about 185 feet of drop line wires at two houses located behind Kagman High School.
No one was at the two houses when the theft happened.
Ogumoro said that on the same day, unidentified person or persons stole electrical wires from two panel boxes at the Retsa Commercial Building in As Perdido.
“The amount of wires stolen is still under investigation,” Ogumoro said.
