The Marianas Visitor’s Authority attended and displayed at two Guam Military Travel Fairs that took place on Oct. 16 and 18, 2008.

The first show was the Annual Andersen Travel Fair, which took place in the heart of Andersen Air Force Base in the northern part of Guam. The second opportunity to show military personnel what Saipan, Tinian, and Rota have to offer came at the Navy (MWR) 3rd Annual Travel Fair “Around the World At A Glance,” which took place in the Top O’ the Mar on Guam.

Active military personnel and their families attended these events, which drew approximately 500 guests each for more than a thousand potential visitors to the CNMI. MVA personnel had the opportunity to display Saipan, Tinian and Rota’s hospitality, leisure, recreational and entertainment options.

“We recognize the importance of the military buildup in Guam in providing potential new travelers to the CNMI,” said MVA managing director Perry Tenorio. “MVA is committed to growing our tourism arrivals from Guam and is especially interested in encouraging military personnel and their families visit the CNMI for rest and recreation.” (MVA)
