Disappointed
We are at this point disappointed at the publicity stunt that former senator David Cing has taken on the matter concerning the issue of his brother Raynaldo Cing and DPL. If this is the type of immature attitude the former senator is expressing to the community, then we believe he has no business being in U.S. Congress.
Sen. Jude Hofschneider, chairman of the Committee on Resources, Economic Development and Programs, had made a reasonable and wise decision to hold off the scheduled hearing of DPL until the election is over, which we believe is out of respect and courtesy for the former senator and the simple fact that DPL Secretary John DelRosario has delayed producing any of the documents being requested.
The issue with DPL and the Senate hearing being conducted has nothing to do with the non-voting delegate or this election for that matter. Taotao Tano found improprieties in the disposition of our public lands that warrant serious investigations. We should understand and realize that the Secretary of DPL is held to a high standard of fiduciary duty in the management and disposition of our public lands and when questions arise we demand answers. We hope that OPA and OAG would not be biased in the matter for they are both well aware of what has been transpiring with DPL.
