Two experts on coral reef analysis and management strategies will visit Kagman this week to update residents on current environmental issues facing the CNMI.

Division of Environmental Quality’s marine biologist Peter Houk will conduct a “State of the Reef” presentation at the Kagman Community Center on Thursday, Oct. 23.

The coral reef presentation will start at 6pm that includes a review of water quality data, trends, and practices that impact the reefs of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Kathleen Herrmann, coral reef watershed/outreach specialist, will also present watershed issues.

DEQ is encouraging every community member in Kagman to attend the presentation. (PR)
