Incompetence at DPS
Mr. Ogumoro: Sir, I am compelled to write this letter because of the facts that you have supplied. I thank you, and many of my “circle” of friends do also, for clarifying the details concerning your case.
I must admit that, in following the articles in the newspaper about your ongoing case in the past, I had prejudged you, not knowing your background and qualifications. One of the main things that hit me in your statement was, “22 years retired from the U.S. Marine Corps.” This in itself sets you apart from any common person in the DPS and many other non-career vets. You, sir, would not have lasted that long in the military if there was anything detrimental about your character. In fact, (I am not questioning your accomplishments) you have accomplished all of these certified qualifications, and they are indeed very impressive and show a moral character, knowledge and expertise that is well defined.
In your other revelations concerning the NMI DPS, (I am also including Tinian in this), I am well aware of the incompetence and personal vendettas that are happening on a day-to-day basis by inexperienced and self-serving people that are generated by the incompetent, politically-appointed department heads. I personally think that there are more incompetents in this category than not. I and many others have been “caught up” with the “small fry” trying to have a “big man” image and trying to “look good,” so they could make a name and look like they have the expertise for a job that they don’t know anything about.
I am glad that your criminal conviction has been expunged. In a past personal vendetta against me by Tinian DPS, mine was ultimately dismissed because of unsubstantial evidence, but it cost me my house and career.
Although I do not know you personally, I do believe that you may have an arrogant nature, as many of us veterans and/or career military personnel have. Many of us have a problem trying to deal with the incompetence we meet in many of the day-to-day operations of the private businesses, along with the NMI government politically-hired personnel. (Many “NMD” that have resided in the U.S. mainland experience the same problem) How many of the present DPS, Fire Department, and CPA police and Fire Department hires could possibly pass the entrance physical without having “connected” names?
I wish you the best of luck, sir, and I will probably get a lot of flak from this letter but “Semper Fi.” Good luck to you.
