DFS Galleria will be sponsoring its first Halloween Fun Run on Oct. 25, Boutique and Luxury Worlds associate store manager Wolf Mojica announced this week.

Mojica said the event, which is envisioned to become an annual activity for running enthusiasts on Saipan, promises fabulous prizes that will be given away at the completion of the run.

Interested participants will pay an entry fee of $10.

The first 150 finishers will receive a T-shirt.

Registration will begin at 5:30am before the start of the fun run at 6am.

The course will cover approximately four miles.

It will start at the traffic light in front of DFS going north to the American Memorial Park, then passes through the park and around the Flag Circle to the pathway and out to the intersection of the Army Reserve.

From there, runners will go through the pathway to the port, then, make a turnaround at the port entrance.

They will then go back to the pathway and into the park again and heads toward the Micro Beach Pavilion and all the way to the Smiling Cove Marina.

Once at the pavilion, the course goes out Micro Beach Road to Beach Road and back to the finishing line at DFS.

Mojica said there would be markings along the route. There would also be volunteers to direct and assist all participating runners.

He said will also be water stations in designated areas.
