Social Security rep sets visit to Tinian and Rota

A representative of the Social Security Administration will be on Tinian and Rota to accept social security number applicants, reports of any change regarding eligibility, and answer questions regarding programs administered by Social Security

The representative will be on Tinian today, Sept. 25, at the Tinian Community and Cultural Affairs Office located at the Tinian Gymnasium, from 8am to 1pm. On Monday, Sept. 29, the representative will be on Rota at the Office on Aging located at Sinapalo Village from 10am to 4:30pm.

To apply for a social security number, original or certified documents must be present; no photocopies are acceptable. First-time U.S. citizen applicants must present a birth certificate, proof of identity and, if under age 12, a parent must present his or her identity. For a replacement card, a U.S. citizen must present proof of his or her identity and citizenship. All proof of identity must be valid. Non-U.S. citizen applicants must present an original valid passport and CNMI Entry Permit or U.S. Permanent Residency Card.

The Social Security Office makes quarterly visits to Tinian and Rota.
