‘Take the Right Route’—again—on Oct. 10
In April, over 800 took the right route by walking, biking, running, or carpooling to work or school, thereby reducing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Next month, on Oct. 10, the CNMI Energy Office and the CNMI Organization for Conservation Outreach is urging all islanders on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota to once again, “Take the Right Route.”
We can all do something right away. And if we all do, something will undoubtedly change.
You can help to switch off global warming and start today—by using clean energy and cutting down on wasted energy.
Energy efficient lights use about one-quarter of the electricity to create the same light as a conventional light bulb.
Everyone has a responsibility to the world we live in now and the world we will leave to future generations. Take a first step to reduce your carbon footprint and “Take the Right Route” Oct. 10 by walking, running, biking, or carpooling to work or school. You will save one pound of CO2 for every mile you don’t drive, save money, and maybe even your waistline.
Individuals, schools, and organizations that participate will receive a FREE pair of “Walk it, Don’t Drive it” zories, reusable waterbottle, or lanyard.
Remember every act counts!
To sign up for “Take the Right Route” on Oct. 10 please contact: Laruen Sanchez or Noberto Mendiola at the CNMI Energy Office at 664-4480/1 or energy@pticom.com. (COCO)
