22 youth pols are certified

The House of Representatives certified the election of 22 youth politicians to the 11th CNMI Youth Congress yesterday.

Meanwhile, two candidates are still battling it out for the third seat for Northern Marianas College. A special election will be held today to break the tie between Vicky Jean Castro and Aesha De-Brum Sablan. The election will be held at the NMC Student Center from 9am to 4pm.

The youth senators-elect from the schools are: Kimberly B. Hofschneider, Grace Christian Academy; Jessel M. Mesa, Kagman High School;

Seong Bin Lee, Marianas Baptist Academy; Leilani S. Cepeda, Marianas High School; Min Kyung (Rachel) Kim, Mount Carmel School; Sunny Frank L. Aldan, Northern Marianas Academy; Johora A. Paeda, Rota High School; Annie C. Camacho, Saipan International School; Maria Grace Madeline B. Alvarez, Saipan Southern High School; Donnie Dosalua, Tinian Jr./Sr. High School; Min Seon Park and Charlyn S. Techur, Northern Marianas College.

To represent their respective elective precincts are:

Andrew C. Benavente, Bianca K. Blanco, and Jessamin C. Santos, Election Precinct I; Adeleyah Charlotte Mojica, Election Precinct II; You Mi (Laura) Lee, Alana May DLG. Leon Guerrero, and Thomas R. Rabauliman, Election Precinct III; Maegan T. Norita, Election Precinct IV; Quina Marie P. Mendiola, Election Precinct V; and John A. Ayuyu, Election Precinct VI.

The inauguration will be on Oct. 18, 2008 at 10am at the House of Representatives’ Chamber on Capital Hill.

Youth Congress members serve a term of one year.
