Organizers have extended the deadline of registration for the SAPTember Youth Volleyball Tournament up to Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Becky Covarrubias, CNMI Tobacco Quit Line coordinator of the Community Guidance Center Prevention Office, also announced yesterday that there would be a meeting of coaches on that day at the Gilbert Ada Gym.

The deadline of submission of entries was originally set Friday, Sept. 12.

The tournament is part of the observance of the Substance Abuse Prevention and Recovery Month.

The actual two-day competition will be from Sept. 20-21, 8am to 6pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

There are four divisions—the boys’ 18 years and under and 14 years and under and the girls’ 18 years and under and 14 years and under.

Ground rules stated that registration will not be complete until the team has submitted a competed registration form for each team and a complete waiver form for each player.

For more details, please contact Becky at 323-7848 or fax 323-6587 or email alesia_mexi@hotmail.com.

The tournament is geared toward a healthier and drug-free CNMI.
