Voyagers clean up Godfathers in Budweiser 8-Ball League

The PTI Voyagers remained on top in the Agingan Division of the Budweiser Open 8-Ball League by blanking the Godfathers Rock Steady, 4-0, last Tuesday night at the Jonny’s Bar and Grill.

It was the Voyagers’ 14th win against only two losses while dealing the Godfathers their 10th defeat in 14 matches.

Composed of Roman Rodriguez, Jean Cadag, Luis Fajardo, Jojo Talibong, and Rolly Villanueva, the Voyagers were overpowering on home turf with round averages of 42-46-47 for a total of 135.

Godfathers’ Gary Pangelinan, Bill Pangelinan, Sam Babauta, Mike Sablan, and Pat Camacho managed with round averages of 32-28-26 for total of 86.

Over at Round Two Bar and Grill, the second-running SaipanCell Hustlers demolished Islander Rent A Car, 4-0.

The Hustlers, composed of Jerry Soriano, Rowel Mariano, Erwin Gomez, Robert Sanciongco, and Senen Pangelinan averaged 52-45-37 for a total of 144 and are now 12-4, while Islander, which is anchored by Jomer Enriquez, Boyet Sequioco, Don Antonio, Ronnie Ringor, and Rey Pinangay, finished with 15-36-36 for a total of 87 and is in third with 9-7.

Also shining on home turf was Coral Reef Shark Attack via 3-1 count over USSP Wat-Ever.

Coral Reef’s Patrick Taitano, Jerry Ayuyu, Vince Mareham, Bill Limes, and Bernard Kileleman compiled average rounds of 35-45-42 for a 110 total edging USSP’s Ace Elameto, Rik Elameto, Ed Munandoc, Nolas Kapileo, and Simon Kapileo, who finished their rounds with 42-21-40 for total of 103.

In the Obyan Division, Primos Home Boys won at home over the visiting VFW Warriors, 3-1, after averaging 46-38-45 for a total of 129.

Behind the steady plays of Nolan Cultura, Juancho Mendoza, Jorge Lizardo, Lakandazo, and Frans de Luna, the Home Boys stayed on top of the heap with a 13-3 record.

The Warriors, composed of Nhel Pagaduan, Tawny Barcinas, Shiela Muna, Winfred Camacho, and Reina Bermudes, averaged 36-38-34 for a total of 108 but the team dropped to a 6-10 win-loss card in a tie with Coral Reef Barracuda at fourth to fifth places.

Barracudas’ Leonard Sablan, Tomo Tebu Teb, Osome Sablan, Nizer Masayos, and John Peter halved the points with host Krystal Perfect Spotters, 2-2.

The Barracudas averaged 41-40-38 for a total of 119 while the Spotters, composed of Johhny Dugos, Serge Tibudan, Primo Ferrera, Marlo Jumalon, and Eric Piol, had 40-42-37 for 119.

In other match-up, USSP Fotten Palau, anchored by Mei Rengiil, Taylor Watanabe, rick Rengiil, Annie Tesiro, and Ron Chisato, finished with 45-43-52 140 to score a stunning 3-1 win over D’Pirates’ Ed Suzuki, Pat Cepeda, John Camacho, Gerrold Guerrero, and Ray Takai, who had 41-42-36-119.

D’Pirates are still in second place with 12-4, Perfect Spotters are in third with 7-9, and Fotten Palau is in sixth with 4-12.
