In our highly competitive world today when each one is pressured to work so hard to meet his own deadlines and own deliverables in order to ensure his own survival, it is heartwarming to see opportunities for group fun, teamwork, and unity.

Such is the spirit of “Bowling Fun Day” organized by Marianas Institute of CPAs and Accountants, or MIFICPA. The event also aims to provide relaxation and exercise to accountants who work seriously all day in their office table shuffling through papers or thumping on their computers.

The Bowling Fun Day is to be held on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 1pm to 6pm at Capital Bowling Center in Garapan.

MIFICPA wants to leave a legacy of caring for the needs of all accountants in the CNMI. To achieve this end, the group is inviting everyone, including non-members to attend the event. One more thing, MIFICPA will shoulder the bowling lane fee through the generosity of the organization’s supporters.

“The message is, if you are an accountant who wants to have a breakaway then you are very much welcome to join the fun, fun, fun, super fun,” the group said.

To be awarded at the end of the tournament are prizes for the winning teams and special prizes for accountant bowlers coming from the sponsors—PTI, Ernst & Young, Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Eli Arago, Jet Holdings Company, Century Insurance Company, Ltd., Shirley’s Coffee Shop, and other sponsors to be announced during the game.

MIFICPA will be printing souvenir T-shirts for the event to be sold for only $5.

Interested players/participants should email their name and contact number to any of the following: MIFICPA president Irene Santiago at irene_saipan@yahoo.com; Marlon Estigoy at marlon@saipan.com; Rene Cariazo at rene_cariazo@cicspn.com; or to Benjie Ganapain at bhnjit@yahoo.com. They can also call Lois at 235-9322.

All entries must be submitted on or before September 12, cut-off date. (MIFICPA)
