The Marianas Visitors Authority recently selected David V. Ada Jr. as the recipient of the Employee of the Quarter award.

Ada, an employee of MVA since February 1997, is currently a Statistics Specialist for the Research Division.

He was recognized for his support and assistance in ensuring smooth operation within the division and was recognized for his ability to perform his duties with minimal supervision. Ada was also recognized as a team player both within his division as well as with other divisions within MVA.

As the employee of the quarter, Ada received a certificate of recognition, a parking spot and $100.

“As a manager, it makes my job easier to know that I have a division staffed with competent employees. Their ability to complete the data collection and generation is important to the MVA and its partners,” stated deputy managing director Judy Torres. “Dave has displayed initiative to update other statistical information such as flight information, hotel information, historical and statistical data.”

Ada contributes to the preparation of monthly reports that provide important information on the CNMI’s tourism industry. Both the public and private sector use this report locally and internationally.

“The hard work put into his daily tasks provides accurate data, integrity and information on a timely manner,” said Torres.

This is not the first time Ada was recognized at MVA for this award.

“He was our employee of the quarter in August 2005 and then our employee of the year in May 2006. As an employee of MVA, he displays a positive attitude and is always willing to help others. This shows that he is a true team player,” said Polly Deleon Guerrero, MVA’s personnel manager.

MVA offers an incentive for individual motivation toward providing quality service, increasing productivity, job knowledge and skills. The program recognizes outstanding performance and employee contribution toward meeting MVA’s goals and objectives. (MVA)
