Raging Warriors on September 27
Trench Tech will hold Rites of Passage 5: Raging Warriors on Sept. 27 at the Trench Tech in San Antonio.
The mixed martial arts gym’s president Cuki Alvarez said like previous Rites of Passage events, Raging Warriors will again serve as proving grounds for young talent looking to make it to the big show.
“This event caters to the first- or second-time fighter or fighters who have lost and are looking to redeem their performance and try to earn their way onto bigger more prestigious events.”
Thus, Alvarez said all interested should sign up as soon as possible.
“All interested fighters and teams are urged to sign up now in all weight classes. This is your opportunity to earn your ‘right to pass’ and a chance to participate in Trench Warz IV: The Annihilation set for Dec. 6.”
He added that Pacific Xtreme Combat, or PXC, is looking for top talent from the CNMI in various weight classes for upcoming PXC events in Guam.
“Trench Tech is the only link to making it to “the big time” and a chance to fight and make big bucks in PXC! Therefore, Rites of Passage is the perfect opportunity and proving grounds to showcase your skills and prove yourself!”
Tickets for Rites of Passage 5: Raging Warriors will be sold at $20 for all seating and it will be first-come, first-serve as far as seating arrangements are concerned.
Alvarez, meanwhile, said details of Trench Warz IX—Trench Tech’s final event of 2008—will be forthcoming in the months ahead. He said there is a possibility that now mainland-based Frank “The Crank” Camacho will take part in the MMA event.
