Seatbelt, child seat checkpoints today

The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting seatbelt/child seat checkpoints today, Aug. 28.

The first setup will be on Beach Road Garapan by the Fishing Base. This will start at 4pm and end around 5:15pm.

The second setup will be on Beach Road Susupe by the Multi-Purpose building. This will begin at about 7:30pm and end at 8:45pm.

Each checkpoint will last 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes) at each location. This activity is part of the department’s efforts to deter and detect and ensure that all vehicles occupants are protected.

In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.
