Glory Market robbery
Crime Stoppers is asking the community for information on any of the individual(s) involved in the recent armed robbery at the Charlie Glory Market in Chalan Kanoa. The crime was reported on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at 6:41pm.
Based on preliminary investigation, two unknown, masked men armed with machetes came running into the store. The cashier, who is the victim in this case, attempted to push the store’s alarm button but was struck on the right arm with the blunt side of the machete by one of the robbers. The perpetrators were able to cut the line of the cash register and flee the store with an undetermined amount of cash. The victim, a 60 year-old Korean woman, sustained a bruise on her right arm. Investigation of this case is ongoing.
Crime Stoppers is also seeking the community’s assistance for information about any of the armed robberies that occurred on Saipan. Your help in solving these crimes will go a long way in placing criminals behind bars.
