If you lined up all the foam cups made in just one day, how far would they reach?

A. 1 mile B. Around the Earth C. Across the United States

Answer: B. Incredible!! Foam cups produced in a single day can circle the entire planet…and reach a little farther too!

Tip of the week:

AVOID using Styrofoam.

* Foam is a kind of plastic, but unlike plastic bags or bottles, this foam is not recyclable. Foam is permanent garbage. Five hundred years from now, a boy might be digging in his backyard and find a piece of foam cup you drank lemonade from on a picnic last week.

* Foam is a danger to sea animals. Floating in the water, it looks like their food. Ingested foam eventually clogs their systems and then can make them starve to death. (CoCo)
