TakeCare Asia: A toast to 35 years…

[B]GUAM[/B]—The Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort’s Ocean Sirena Ballroom was a sight to see last Friday night as TakeCare Asia, a privately held consumer health organization based in Guam, celebrated its 35th anniversary.

Over 350 employees and guests attended the event, including employees and crew from satellite offices in Asia and continental U.S., as well as FHP Health Center on Saipan, which sent at least nine of its employees.

TakeCare’s executive vice-president and chief financial officer Don H. Fetherman opened the night, congratulating the company and its high-performing agents or employees. President Joseph Husslein also provided congratulatory remarks for the entire company.

Highlights of the night included the recognition of TakeCare’s long-term and loyal employee Liz Hines. Hines has been with the company for over 20 years.

Guam Sen. Ray Tenorio also went up on stage and presented a Senate resolution recognizing TakeCare’s achievement in Asia-Pacific. The night ended with a mini-concert from the renowned Hawaiian duo Cecilio and Kapono.

Customer Care guru Glenn Mitchell hosted the event.

According to the company, TakeCare has provided medical and dental health care coverage to 45,000 members through its staff of over 350 local employees, making it one of the Island’s largest health plan and health care services company. TakeCare has been offering a wide range of health plans designed specifically to meet the needs of every individual with access to over 100 primary and specialty providers on island.
