A lawyer, an accounting technician with the Workforce Investment Agency and a retiree were among the five second draw winners of Coca-Cola Beverage Co. (Micronesia) Inc.’s “Golden Ticket Giveaway” promo, and all have one thing in common: They say Coke is their soda of choice.

“Oh yes, I always buy Coke,” said attorney Robert “Bob” H. Myers Jr. “I drink a lot of Coke,” he added. Myers, who has three children, said he will take them to the movies with the five Hollywood Theater passes he won. “I am thankful to Coca-Cola. It’s a nice surprise, especially in these trying times,” Myers said.

Another winner, Glenda Tabin, an accounting technician with WIA and a Dandan resident, said she was not expecting to win. She said she bought Coca-Cola products by the case for her daughter’s 6th birthday on July 8. “I always buy Coke,” she said, adding that she will treat her kids to the movies with the five tickets she won. Tabin said she was thankful that CCBM came up with the promo.

Yet another winner was Lucy Tenorio, a government retiree who lives in Papago and works part-time at One Call Maintenance. Tenorio said she entered just one coupon. “I always shop [at this store] and always buy Coke there,” she said, adding that she’ll give all five movie passes to her 15-year-old daughter and her friends. “I am thankful to Coke for this promo,” Tenorio said.

Winners of the second raffle draw still have a chance to win in the third and final draw scheduled for July 31, 2008. All three said they’ll keep buying more Coke products for a chance to win again.

The other second-draw winners were Ed Villagomez and Jinkie Alaza.

The winners received their prizes on July 18, 2008, at the Coca-Cola office in Chalan Laulau where the drawing was held on July 12, 2008.

The third and final winners will be drawn July 31, 2008. Five winners are chosen during each drawing; and each winner gets five Hollywood Theater movie passes.

To enter, just purchase a 6-can pack or a 1.25-liter bottle of any Coca-Cola product to get one entry form. (PR)
