HAGATNA, Guam—Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo issued the following statement regarding the recent crash of a B-52H Stratofortress on rotation to Andersen Air Force Base, nearly 30 miles northwest of the Guam coast:

“My thoughts and prayers are with the family members of the airmen who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy. The B-52 was slated to fly over the Liberation Day parade as part of our island’s celebration. The Air Force family lost two of its own today and their loss is shared by our entire island community. Our local leaders continue to work closely with military and federal authorities to search for the other four missing crew members. We will continue to offer our prayers and any assistance that we can provide to help find the remaining crew.” [I](PR)
