Effective July 15, 2008, Citibank Guam Rewards Card members can redeem their Rewards Points for Mabuhay Miles toward free travel and upgrades on Philippine Airlines.

Citibank Guam Rewards Card members (Platinum, Gold and Silver) now have the added choice to convert their Rewards Points into Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles, which can be redeemed for free travel not only to Manila, but also to other domestic destinations within the Philippines or international cities served by Philippine Airlines.

“The Philippines is a top destination for Guam residents. It is also a gateway to most Asian countries when traveling from Guam. Likewise, our card members travel to the Philippines for pleasure or for business,” said Madhu Seshadri, Corporate Country Officer/Country Business Manager, Citi Guam. “We are delighted to partner with Philippine Airlines and be their first international partnership. This enhancement to our Rewards Card product is a demonstration of Citibank’s commitment to offering diverse and relevant products and services with strategic partners to meet local needs,” Seshadri concluded.

Vic Lo, Vice President/General Manager, Goodwind Travel & Tour Corp. Inc., GSA for Philippine Airlines expressed, “On behalf of Philippine Airlines, Asia’s first commercial airline, we are happy to become a partner in Citibank Guam’s Credit Card Rewards Program. We value this great opportunity to communicate to their card members and to offer our distinctive products and services.”

Philippine Airlines held a two-day event at Micronesia Mall Center Court on July 19 and 20 to formally launch the new partnership with Citibank. Philippine Airlines will also be raffling away a pair of round-trip tickets from Guam to Manila in each of these two days as part of the launch event. (PR)
