Bao Young Man wins Blue Tee tourney

Bao Young Man ruled the 4th Annual Blue Tee Tournament that took place last Saturday and Sunday at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.

Over 70 golfers took part in the yearly tournament but Bao, a golf pro, won the competition with a six-over par 150 in the two-day tournament.

Bao started out with a 76 in the Peoria format first day before finishing the tournament with a 74 in the gross score format second day.

Jess “Mr. Unorthodox” Wabol came in second with a nine-over 153 after a 76 in a Day 1 and a 77 in Day 22.

Park Joung Hoon complete the Top 3 with his 12-over 156 built around a tourney leading 73 on Saturday and a disastrous 83 on Sunday.

Joji Taguchi (157), Adam Hardwicke (157), Tim Taguchi (158), Chul Juh Byun (163), defending champion Jeff Taylor (164), Manny Alvarez (164), Kim Bong Kun (164), Ralph Yumul (165), Ben Duenas (165), Peter Tenorio (165), Ned Norita (168), Tars Olopai (168), Juko Isikawa (169), and Tsukasa Kuribayashi (173) also took part in the 4th Annual Blue Tee Tournament.

Seventy-seven golfers took part in the tournament but the field was cut to 17 after the first round as the organizing committee set a cut line of 82.

Other previous winners of the Blue Tee Tournament are Seung Woo Kang in 2005 and Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho in 2006.
