Fil-Taga July Ace at Laolao this Sunday

The Fil-Taga Golfers Association will hold its July Ace of the Month Tournament this Sunday, July 13, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort west course in Marpi.

According to tournament director Mike Cruz, show time is set at 11:30am with tee-off time scheduled 30 minutes later at 12pm.

Established in 1993, Fil-Taga’s tournaments operate under a computer-controlled handicap system that creates parity among players in the A and B Flights.

A Fil-Taga Ace of the Month champion is crowned monthly. Regular tournaments are scheduled once a month, normally every third Sunday. Green fees are in the $35 to $40 price range for most tournaments.

Its 2008-2009 set of officers are led by president Mike Cruz, vice president Jhun Calma, secretary Manny Po, treasurer Arnaldo Guban, and board of directors Fr. Manny Corcuera , Jhun Dela Cruz, Ted Malaran, Gil Faller, Rey Ferraz, Greg De Torres, Rene Batalliones, Nestor Siruelo, and George Sablan.
