BEH closes bar, illegal vendor in June

The Bureau of Environmental Health closed down a bar and an illegal roadside vendor in June due to serious violations of health and sanitation standards.

The bureau shut down the Johnny’s Bar and Grill in Garapan on June 30, 2008. There is no report yet if the bar has already re-opened since then. Roadside vendor Li Bo Xing was closed down on June 20.

In May, the bureau shut down two restaurants, the D.C. Tea House in Garapan and the Domo Restaurant in Chalan Kanoa, both on May 28. Based on the BEH report, only the D.C. Tea House has re-opened, on June 20.

Prior to these closures, the bureau also shut down the Island Medical Center in Susupe on Feb. 28, 2008.

The bureau also conducted sanitary inspections in June on the following retail, eating and drinking establishments and their grades are as follow:
