Tan Holdings Corp. donated $1,000 yesterday to the Palau Community Association for a project to build a community center on Navy Hill.

The money will be used to buy materials that will be needed for the center, including cement, wood, hollow blocks, and tinted roofs.

The association has been working for over a year now on the project, which will be located at the former power plant site.

There are about 1,000 Palauans on island and 100 are very active in the association.

“Thank you very much for the contribution and may the Lord bless your company,” said Norman Mobel, the association’s vice president. Mobel is also assistant operations manager of Saipan Stevedore.
