NMI master’s degree candidates receive awards
The ceremony took place at the Guam Marriott Resort & Spa on Tumon Bay to recognize the individuals who will receive their master’s degrees on June 1 at the UOG commencement ceremony. In addition to the various individual and program acknowledgements of achievement, an unexpected event took place.
Tan Hermana Fejeran Faifao, mother of Dolores Faifao from Saipan, CNMI, had traveled to Guam to participate in her daughter’s accomplishment on Sunday. Another gradating student from the CNMI was unable to attend the graduate awards ceremony that evening and Tan Hermana was asked by UOG president Robert A. Underwood to accept the awards certificate and deliver it to the graduating student in Saipan.
Tan Hermana was very much honored to assist a CNMI resident and accepted the award with Dr. Underwood, Dr. Borja-Enriquez and the entire graduate faculty of the School of Business and Public Administration sending its best wishes to the student and his family in absentia through Tan Hermana.
The School of Business and Public Administration is one of several colleges in the University of Guam, a Western Pacific regional university for more than 50 years. Its academic curriculum consists of 4 undergraduate, bachelor’s degree programs in Criminal Justice, Public Administration as well as a bachelor of Business Administration degree program in Business Administration and Finance and Accounting.
