The annual dog show hosted by PAWS and Beautify CNMI! that was scheduled for this Saturday, May 17, has been postponed until the end of May.

This decision was made by the dog show committee after PAWS president and Beautify CNMI! Animal Welfare Committee chair Katie Busenkell was invited to attend the Humane Society’s Animal Care Expo in Orlando, Florida from May 14 to 17.

“The Animal Expo is a great networking opportunity for PAWS and Beautify CNMI!,” said Busenkell. “We’re hoping to gain national and international support for humane education efforts by attending the event and openly discussing our current situation.”

The dog show has tentatively been moved to the end of May so president Busenkell will be able to volunteer for the event.

Community members interested in volunteering for the dog show, and/or participating in the event with their dog(s), are invited to contact PAWS at busenkell@gmail.com for more information or call the hotline at 285-PAWS. (PAWS)
