How many milk cartons can you fill with water from a five-minute shower?
a.) 5 b.) 15 c.) 50

When you shower, you use five gallons of water every minute! So everyday, you could use 25 gallons of water taking one shower.

Taking a bath uses more water—about twice as much.

There are secrets to saving water while you shower.

Install a “low-flow” showerhead. This adds air to the water, so it cuts the amount of shower water used from five gallons a minute to two and a half.

Turn off the water as you soap, shampoo or shave.

You can also save water by turning off the water as you brush your teeth. Instead, half fill a glass and use that to wet your brush and rinse your mouth. (Coco)
