Fatingali remains on top
Fatingali remained the lone undefeated team in the 9th Annual Pacific Islands Club-Miller Lite Spring Co-ed 4-Person Beach Volleyball League at the PIC sand courts.
Fatingali scored its seventh straight win after an 11-6, 10-12, 11-9 win over Kiss My Pass Tuesday night to remain on track of sweeping the elimination round.
The loss ended Kiss My Pass’ five-game winning run and its bid for a sixth consecutive win that could have put them on top of the 15-team field.
Fatingali’s combination of Marino Pungilug, Jazz Roscow, Jessica Uematsu, Butch Kaipat, June Keller, and Valerie Gilramngen did wonders for the team as they have only dropped three of the 21 sets they have played so far.
In other games, MHS Peers joined idle 15 Of Fame in third place after an 11-3, 12-10, 7-11 win over Angan while MHS Young Guns got out of the cellar with an 11-4, 5-11, 11-9 decision against 670 Boom Boom.
The win was the second in seven games for the Young Gunz to leave Brabu all alone at the cellar with a 2-6 record.
Spiked Punch also improved to a 2-5 card after a masterful 11-5, 11-5, 11-0 win over Gigi.
MHS Young Guns, 670 Boom Boom, Kiss My Pass, and Angan were playing against Spiked Punch, Gigi, Snap Crackle Pop, and Spike’A’Sauras at press time.
Games today will have the Young Guns, Snap Crackle Pop, and 670 Boom Boom battle the Herbalizers, Brabu, and Tsunami, while Fatingali guns for their eighth straight win when they clash with Angan.
The first game begins at 5:30pm with the final match to be played at 8:30pm. Games are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
