Late-inning rally lifts Jets in Junior league
A late-inning scoring surge carried the Juan S. Tenorio Jets to a 10-7 win over the Kagman Lion Hearts in Sunday’s Junior League game at the Francisco M. Palacios Baseball Field.
The Jets scored eight runs in the final three innings to rally from a 7-2 deficit and secure their ninth win in 12 games, while the Lion Hearts of Reps. D Salas and Rosmond Santos dropped to a 7-5 mark.
McGarette Duenas pitched five shutout innings in relief giving up three hits while striking out three batters and walking one more. He relieved Joe Palacios in the bottom of the fourth.
Duenas forced the Lion Hearts to hit fly balls, grounders, and line drives, which the Jets defense fielded cleanly to avoid further damage.
Harry Nakamura went 4-for-5 with three runs and a double for the Jets.

Ol’Aces 8, Fielders 1[/B]
Ol’Aces’ bullpen starred for the team in breezing through an 8-1 win over the Fielders on Saturday.
Lamarc Iguel pitched two shutout innings in the start allowing two hits with two strikeouts and no walks, while Kevin Yamada tossed two innings in relief surrendering one unearned run on one hit fanning four with one walk.
Patrick Tenorio scored the Fielders’ lone run in the third inning, reaching home plate on a throwing error by Ol’Aces catcher Jesse Yamagishi.
Rocco Reyes pitched three shutout and no-hit innings retiring five batters with no walk.
Peter Tenorio earned the loss lasting six innings on the mound and was tagged with three earned runs on four hits while striking out five batters and walking five more.
A.J. Taitano went 2-for-2 for Ol’Aces to go with his two runs and a double.

SENIOR LEAGUE
D9ers 9, Lion Kings 4[/B]
Chad Atalig tossed four scoreless innings to lead the Plus Marketing-Pacific Bio Medical Services Inc. D9ers to a 9-4 win over the Lion Kings of Kagman on Sunday.
Atalig gave up two hits with three strikeouts and two walks before being relieved by Nick Cruz in the bottom of the fifth. Cruz allowed one earned run on four hits with no strikeout and two walks.
Jared Camacho and Eric Tenorio combined for 4-for-6 in batting and also scored two runs. Tenorio also had a double and an RBI triple in the first inning. Ben Taisacan went 3-for-4 with one run and four RBIs.
The loss wasted Wally Emul Jr.’s 3-for-3 performance at the plate. He also scored twice and had two triples.
[B]Fielders 3, Dolphins 1[/B]Anthony Tenorio pitched in no relief in the Tan Holdings Fielders’ 3-1 win over the PTI Dolphins on Saturday.
Tenorio gave up four hits retiring four batters and walking four more as he held the Dolphins to 4-for-22 in batting or a .181 average.
Ofero Taitano, who walked, scored the lone run for the Dolphins rounding the bases on an Anthony Rogolifoi double.
Tom Agulto went 2-for-4 with one run and two RBIs for the Fielders.
[B]BIG LEAGUEFalcons 7, Hustlers 2[/B]
Tako Camacho pitched 5 2/3 innings in relief to help the Sablan Topline Falcons of Tanapag score a 7-2 win over the Hustlers on Sunday.
Camacho after walking Mariano Lisua, who stole home, settled in after that tossing five shutout innings yielding four hits with five strikeouts and no walks.
Drew Magofna pitched 1 1/3 innings in start giving up one unearned run on one hit with no strikeout and two walks. Martin Pangelinan scored on a passed ball on Magofna’s turn on the mound.

Aztecs 6, Jets 1[/B]
Nicolas San Nicolas tossed a complete game five-hitter as the UMDA Aztecs tripped the JET Realty Jets, 6-1, on Saturday.
San Nicolas struck out six batters and walked one more in seven innings on the mound. He walked Bill Fleming, who scored the Jets’ lone run on a passed ball in the fifth.
Manny Cabrera earned the loss pitching six innings giving up five earned runs on 11 hits with four strikeouts and no walks.
