Split for McDonald’s in Little League

Team McDonald’s split their games for the week in the Majors division of the Saipan Little League at the Miguel Basa “Tan Ge” Pangelinan Field.

McDonald’s squeeze out a 9-7 win over Hustlers II on Wednesday to bounce back from a 12-2 shellacking they suffered from defending champion SaipanCell Hustlers on Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, Jared Lizama lasted 4 1/4 innings on the mound before being replaced after reaching the 85-pitch count limit. He was tagged with seven hits including a third inning three-run inside-the-park home run to Jonathan Villagomez, but struck out seven batters and walking four more.

Jonathan Rangamar pitched 1 3/4 no-hit innings in relief fanning three and walking two.

Kindo Villagomez went 2-for-3 with one run and drove in two runs, while Rangamar also went 2-for-3 scoring twice with one double and a triple. Josh Villagomez and Marino Ngeskebei combined for 3-for-7 in batting touching home plate three times. Villagomez had a triple while Ngeskebei had an RBI.

Herman Guerrero only went 1-for-3 a solo inside-the-park homer in the McDonald’s’ three-run second inning.

The loss wasted the 3-for-3 performance of Frankey Lizama, who also scored two runs for Hustlers II. Jonathan Villagomez went 2-for-4 with two runs, and five RBIs, and an inside-the-park home run.

Villagomez blasted a three-run inside the parker in a four-run third inning and slapped a two-RBI triple in the fourth.

Patriots 12, McDonald’s 2

On Tuesday, Jun Rabauliman blasted his sixth home run of the season in leading the Patriots to an easy 12-2 win over McDonald’s.

Rabauliman, who flied out to Herman Guerrero at center field in his first at bat, went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs. He had an RBI triple in the third to let Chris Mizer score and whacked a two-run round-tripper that went over the fence.

Rabauliman’s two-run four-bagger highlighted the Patriots’ seven-run fourth inning that ended the game vie the 10-run mercy rule.

Jose Lizama went 3-for-4 scoring twice, had a double, and two RBIs, while Jared Sablan went perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Richard Borja went 2-for-2 with a run and two doubles.

Jared Sablan pitched three one-hit innings in relief striking out four batters and gave up one walk. Jared Lizama connected with a single in the third inning for McDonald’s’ lone hit.

Lizama also scored one run on a stolen base while Josh Villagomez, who was hit by a pitch, reached home plate on a passed ball.
