DUI checkpoints today and tomorrow

The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic section will be conducting DUI/sobriety checkpoints today and tomorrow, May 9–10.
In tonight’s checkpoints, the first setup will be on B/R Susupe by the Multi-Purpose Building. This operation will start at 7:30pm and will end around 8:45pm.
The second setup will be on Chalan Pale Arnold Road in Garapan by Horizon Building. This operation will begin around 10pm and will terminate at approximately 11:15pm.
Tomorrow, the first set p will be on Beach Road Chalan Kanoa by Meena’s Store. This operation will start around 7:30pm and will terminate at about 8:45pm.
The second setup will be on Chalan Pale Arnold Road in Gualo Rai by Sherwin-Williams Building. This operation will start at 10pm and will end at 11:15pm.
Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes) at each location. This activity is part of the department’s efforts to deter and detect and ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.
In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.
