For the fourth time, battalions from the CNMI have advanced into the third and final phase of the JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl Level III championship competition. But for the first time in history, two schools have advanced together this far into the competition.

Out of the 1,700 plus JROTC programs worldwide that competed, only 2 percent were able to reach this level. The Ayuyu Battalion made both Academic and Leadership categories for JLAB Level III championship competition. The Manta Ray Battalion made the Leadership category for JLAB III championship competition.

The Manta Ray and Ayuyu cadets have spent countless hours studying and preparing for the competition since October 2013 and were blessed to be part of that 2 percent to have made it this far. (PR)
