Arnold I. Palacios

Gov. Arnold I. Palacios has appointed Vina Claire Saures Ayuyu to serve on the Northern Marianas Housing Corp. board of directors, representing Saipan and the Northern Islands and the Carolinian community.

If confirmed by the Senate, Ayuyu will serve the remainder of a four-year term, which will expire on May 6, 2027.

Ayuyu is a program manager at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.’s Community Guidance Center.

Last May 18, Palacios nominated Ayuyu to serve as a member of the Commonwealth Economic Development Authority board of directors representing Saipan, Northern Islands, and Carolinian community. The governor, however, later withdrew the appointment.

Palacios informed Senate President Edith E. DeLeon Guerrero (D-Saipan) last June 2 that he and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang are confident in Ayuyu’s leadership to uphold the mandates and goals of the NMHC to further meet the need for decent, safe, and sanitary housing for persons of low and moderate income, and provide employment opportunities through housing development in the CNMI.
