Auto-motorcycle crash leaves man with lacerated knee

A man walked away with only a laceration to his knee after an auto-motorcycle incident in front of the Triple J’s Payless SuperFresh & Truckload store in Susupe last April 21, according to Department of Public Safety public information officer Dre Pangelinan.
According to Pangelinan, the man who sustained only a laceration to his knee was involved in an auto-motorcycle crash last Friday in front of Payless. He was the operator of the motorcycle.
Pangelinan said the operator of the other vehicle was cited for failing to yield to the vehicle—the motorcycle in this case—traveling through the highway when turning.
“One thing that we do want to remind motorists drivers and even cyclists is [to] remember when you’re turning, you have to look both ways and then on top of looking both ways, even if you are going in a straight direction, you have to look and make sure that there is no oncoming vehicle or cyclists,” said Pangelinan.
Pangelinan emphasized that drivers should make sure and double check before crossing for any pedestrian or cyclist– a motorcycle or a bicycle.
Luckily, both the motorcycle and automobile operators did not sustain any serious injuries, only a laceration on the knee of the motorcyclist.
Another automobile incident happened around 8pm last April 25 in Papago. Videos on social media showed DPS directing traffic while a sedan with damage on the driver’s side was getting towed away.
As of press time, Pangelinan did not have further information on this incident. It was not immediately learned how many people were involved, how many cars were involved, or if there were any fatalities.
