TAMUNING, Guam—Atkins Kroll Inc., an Inchcape Company, announced yesterday its acquisition of Avis Rent a Car, Budget Rent a Car, and Payless Rent a Car across six islands in Micronesia from Premiere Alliance Corp. This acquisition is part of Atkins Kroll’s Accelerate Strategy designed to maximize significant opportunities as the industry navigates unique changes. This is the company’s second recent acquisition since purchasing the commercial vehicle and heavy equipment dealership Morrico Equipment in December 2021.

“The acquisition of these three iconic rental car brands is a milestone for Atkins Kroll as it marks a major step forward in our strategy by considerably strengthening our position in the region, expanding our car rental footprint and running multi-branded companies will help to enhance the underlying value of Atkins Kroll, as well as providing exciting opportunities for our partners and employees,” said Alex Hammett, Inchcape managing director for Asia Developing Markets.

Premiere Alliance Corp. has multiple Avis, Budget, and Payless Rent a Car locations in Micronesia including Guam, Saipan, Tinian, Rota, Pohnpei, and the Republic of Palau, all of which include airport kiosks.

“Premiere Alliance Corp. has served our islands for 25 years,” said company president Cathy Mateo. “I am very thankful to our employees who were integral to the success of our operations. I am also grateful to the many customers we’ve had the privilege to serve. Atkins Kroll is a great organization, and I am confident they’ll take great care of our people and the brands.”

Atkins Kroll is a leading distributor of vehicles in Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Micronesia. Established in 1914, Atkins Kroll is Guam’s oldest corporation and represents Toyota, Lexus, BMW, Chevrolet, Toyota Rent A Car, ACE Rent a Car, and AC Delco brands.

In December 2021 Atkins Kroll acquired Morrico Equipment, one of Guam’s largest heavy equipment dealerships representing Freightliner, Mercedes Benz, Hyundai Construction Equipment, Kohler Power Systems, Rosenbauer Fire Trucks and Thomas Built School Buses. Morrico Equipment operates new and used heavy equipment sales, rental, parts, diesel fuel delivery, Trashco Guam, and specialized diesel repair service to Guam, the CNMI, Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and Palau.
